Funerals and memorials – A celebration of life.
When a loved one dies, those left behind have to make a lot of decisions at an extremely difficult time.
The first thought might be that their only option is to go to their clergy or other religious leader as they believe it is the only option.
But that is not true.
This is the final goodbye to your loved one, and as an Independent Civil Celebrant, I can help celebrate the life of the departed, in a truly personal and bespoke way that is not bound by either religious or non-religious Humanist constraints.
The ceremony can be as solemn or as light hearted as you wish, with the emphasis being on a celebration of the life of the departed.
You might decide to have a private ceremony with a celebration of life afterwards at the scattering of ashes, or at a memorial celebration at a place that the deceased loved.
The benefit of an Independent Celebrant means that the ceremony can have as little or as much religious or spiritual content as you want.
If you want perhaps to have a mainly secular ceremony but also to add a prayer – that’s fine.
The location is also totally up to you, and doesn’t have to be limited to the standard locations.
It is the final farewell and I will work with you to make sure that it is the way you want to say goodbye.
Prices for funerals ceremonies are generally £200
Ceremonies for children under 16 years of age are free of charge.
Travel expenses – £1 per mile if over 15 miles to venue or client from ST17.
